We learn about the cultures we visit through interactions with local people. Cultural Crossroads travelers spend time with artisans learning about their craft and often participate with them. We learn why the craft or tradition is important to their culture and why it is handed down from generation to generation. We listen to music of the cultures by the local musicians themselves or enjoy the dance of the counties that we visit.  

Art is also an important part of our trips. Cultural Crossroads participants visit museums, churches, private art collections. Our travelers discover hidden treasures and learn how to appreciate styles and movements in art directly from curators and experts.
