A souk, or market can be found in just about every town in Jordan. They sell kitchen items, clothes, food, jewelry, and handicrafts.
Other items include Dead Sea products for skin, bath salts, foot and hand cream, gold, perfume, spices and olive oil soap.
Some of the traditional Jordanian handicrafts that can be found include: wall hangings, rugs, dolls, runners, wooden boxes,
mosaics, shawls, baskets, embroidery, tablecloths and jars filled with sand.

Saturday
through Thursday: 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, and then 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Some shops open as early as 6:00 am and close at
8:00 pm
All shops are closed for lunch between 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
All shops are also closed on Friday, except
for the souks, which are typically open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
