VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR JORDAN






 






A passport and visa are required to enter and exit Jordan. Visas can be obtained for a fee at any major entrance into the country. However, in order to enter Jordan through the Land bridge crossing between Israel and Jordan, known as the King Hussein Bridge Crossing, a U.S. citizen must already be in possession of a visa.

Any visitor to Jordan that wishes to stay for more than 30 days needs to register at a Jordanian police station by the thirtieth day of their stay or they will be assessed a fine on departure. Extensions are available for up to three months.

All visitors to Jordan are required to have a passport valid for at least six months after visitation date and documentation of onward travel.

Be aware that Jordan does not allow anyone with HIV/AIDS to enter the country.
